If your Mac is starting to run slow, changes are you're running out of hard disk space. As a general rule of thumb, you should always try and keep about 10 percent of your drive free so that your Mac can write all its temporary files.
2. Backup your Mac
Apple has created a very easy to use backup system called TIME MACHINE. Use it. Often. Chances are you have years, of data on your Mac. It would be a disaster if a failed drive would make you lose it all. With a backup, you'd be fully protected against that eventually.
3. Fix the fans.
Sometimes, your Mac's fan will start roaring to life for no apparent reason. That could be because a program's started misbehaving. You can check what's going on thanks to the ACTIVITY MONITOR app (in the utilities folder). You can also force quit programs from there as well if you need to.
4. Ensure your mac far from the watery
5. Save Energy
